Bio: My research is most broadly concerned with the intersections of political theory, legal studies, cultural production, and affect theory, with an emphasis on the philosophical frameworks, representations, and politics of human rights. My recent work takes as one of its objects of investigation the ways in which affect and the language of rights produce subjects specific to capitalism. I am also interested in the emancipatory potential of assemblages in general and strategies of audience (de)politicization through both public political discourse and aesthetic representation in particular.
Research interests: Marxism, international law, globalization and global justice, the politics of form, critical animal studies
